Barack Obama told Joe the Plumber, when asked the question to be raised through taxation for small businesses because of the wealth has been redistributed. I think it would be difficult to realize the American dream of independence, freedom, you have your own business, with hopes for the “American dream” for the pursuit of happiness, their own business under the scheme ‘ Obama. Why, when fighting for your own business since independence, we would not be any additional action from those who do not share that dream?
How many have the Amer Dream of owning your own business some day, & do you believe you will be able under BO?

If the Obamessiah had his way, no business would be privately owned.
yes & yes
its been shown that Joe the Plumber is not a licensed plumber in his county…its also been shown that Joe is a tax dodger.dont use some fraud loser as your example. it cheapens your argument.
Not me. I’m more of a science and tech guy. Business doesn’t interest me at all. Even though I wasted my first degree in the field.
Nobody making over $250,000 is struggling.
If a small business is projected to make a $300,000 profit, the best course is to invest the extra $50,000 to grow the business, and add a new job. The net result will be a $3000 tax credit to the business owner, growth of the business, and job growth for America.
Socialism explains this..the have and the have nots
American dreams will cost a lot more..I don’t want my own business
as I have seen the results of what this does to people..they are
not my cup of tea..but I am glad other people commit themselves to
this dream..Barack Obama is just wrong for the US and for FREEDOM
Don’t even know what the American dream is anymore.
I have lived that dream, it was a real nightmare.
I don’t think it is a question of those that don’t share the dream, it is more like they are afraid to have the dream and try to pursue it. Having your own business isn’t what gives you independence. You answer to the same laws and regulations and taxes with your own business and more than you would working for someone else and letting them deal with the government. There are people out here who don’t have a choice. Dreams are just that dreams. Nothing more and nothing less. Great if you have achieved your “dream” but don’t be narrow-minded about it.
Not those who prefer hand outs over making it on your own.
I already have one and I, like Joe The Plumbed, am afraid of what will happen to my business. Currently I have five employees making approximately $50k each. As you can see I am NOT that big of a company but my payroll is close to his 250k so sure I make over 250k. But under his plan I may have to let one of my guys go. This sucks because we are all friends but if I can’t make payroll or purchases I have to do something. Right now the economy has slowed and I am doing everything to keep everyone working but I am afraid Obamas plan will put me over the edge and I will have no choice but to let someone go. SAD but true!
well I own an established business and made good money over the last 8 years and continue to do so. I have noticed a lot of the money, especially foreign money isn’t coming in like it once was. It seems like the higher Obama goes in the polls the lower the economy goes. My business and my employees should be fine; I just feel sorry for the younger women and men because If Obama wins they won’t get the same opportunities I had. The only benefit I see, and it is a little selfish, is that I won’t have a lot of competition!
Ask the economists and the Small Business Administration. The SBA says there are 27.2 million small businesses in America. According to the Tax Policy Center, about 1% of these make so much money that they would see any tax increase. The majority, sole proprietors, would actually see a decrease in taxes. If you don’t believe me, see the list of economists below who support Obama’s plan and, please, check their credentials.
I owned my own business, with employees, for 14 years. Currently I’m self-employed, a sole proprietor. These two enterprises span my life from my early 20s to today at age 60, so 40 years. I have had a really huge number of friends and acquaintances who were small business owners over those 40 years. Not one of them would pay a single penny of extra tax under Obama’s plan, but many would have a slight deduction in tax.
Most people wish they were making so much money that they had to worry about a slight increase in tax.
