Concerning the teen sailor, mind your own business

16 year old Abby Sunderland a seasoned experienced sailor attempted to sail around the earth alone. While in the Indian Ocean a thirty foot waive knocked down her ship’s mask and ability to communicate. Ms. Sunderland was located and is safe and well. With this the busy-bodies, nanny types are question the parents for allowing Abby to sail the world alone. To these busy-bodies: mind your own business! Ms. Sunderland is an accomplished sailor and went through numerous shorter lone trips to prepare for this one. Her parents have confidence in her, and ends the discussion. Another show-stopper: Ms. Sunderland was located safe and in good condition. How many older sailors could have accomplished the same? How many other sailors after being hit with a thirty food wave would have not had the same happen to their ship’s mask and communications? In many states and around the world being 16 years old is the age of consent. Many of these same self appointed busy bodies would be the first to say a 12 year old is entitled to have an abortion without parental consent because it is a woman’s body and her right to choose. Well Ms. Sunderland used that choice and made the decision to take her body not to an abortion clinic but on a ship to sail around the world. Now shut up you busy bodies. “maybe the $300,000 bill for rescuing .”

    Yes, she should pay all her vacation cost, then it’ll be none of our business.

  3. enforcerer4 says:

    Cool video…maybe the $300,000 bill for rescuing her should be sent to you.

    The girl has been sailing since January and this is her first problem, albeit a major one that cost her the mission, but 5 months without a hitch is a successful first attempt in my book. She is obviously well trained and could have finished the trip were it not for the unfortunate events that occurred.

    Our taxes are used to rescue people like her.

    Economy=Much too complex for morons like you to understand.

    So you have to blame deregulation or any other capitalist event whenever something goes wrong.

    Ruined by Deregulation

    “And you leftists always attribute every bad thing that happens in this country to conservatives, lol. ”
    Not every bad thing can be blamed on conservatives, but the big things can trace their problems to some sort of conservatism..

    A lot of these European countries have people that think that the government can raise the children better than the parents.

    Even in the middle of an ocean, sailing is safer than gymnastics.

    Take your own advice on screwing yourself.

    Funny how you claim the media isn’t leftist yet members of the media admit themselves to be leftists.

    And you leftists always attribute every bad thing that happens in this country to conservatives, lol.

    @Trustisaliability Your the smartest Brit I met so far. Sailing the Indian Ocean has the largest waves in the world along Pacific since it is a warm body of water.

  19. Trustisaliability says:

    @TheStormchaser1

    No sorry thats your history, I’m British :D

    I only sail dingys but when I have enough money I would like to buy a boat. But I won’t be sailing through the Indian ocean.

  20. Trustisaliability says:

    @johnnybravo234

    Yeah but there are certain seasons when storms are more common than others. She decided to sail through this season, and guess what, there was a storm.

  21. Joe402 says:

    @USAGymnast
    What the fuck are you talking about? I didn’t know it was ONLY the left criticizing her parents. As far as I can see, it’s just the media looking for something to distract everyone from real problems like the oil spill. Look the media is not leftist, it never will be leftist in this country, and anything bad people do cannot be attributed to the doings of one political group. Fuck off.

    We have seen 12 year olds at the Olympics in the early 20th century.

    Even then you still have to have a GED or high school diploma in order to join the military.
